    Default PA Renaissance Faire carry?

So for any of you familiar with the Ren Faire, I have a simple question for you.

Is there any law barring you from concealed carry there? They typically have signs at the entrance saying that functioning firearms are prohibited (period replicas such as flintlock pistols are allowed). I'm not entirely sure that these signs hold any legal weight. Anyone else know?

Like any other organization...they'll ask you to leave if you're carrying.
That is, if they find out.

We are thinking of going to a few of these this year. The signs hold zero legal weight. Concealed means concealed.

While they do have security at the gates last year they were mostly checking bags (and it was a cursory check at that) and taking care of the drunks who park themselves at the Swashbuckler pub all day.

Like has been mentioned IF they find it on you I'm sure that they ask you to leave .. maybe even escort you out I don't know, but I can't see that it carries much legal weight.

I will see if I can find out more.

I am sure that someone on this forum will want to open carry, just to stir the pot.

Hmmm... will chain mail stop small-arms fire?

If it's real chain mail, the real tightly woven stuff, it's a definite possibility, especially with lower velocity rounds like .38spl, .45acp and the like. Don't take my word for it, as I haven't tried it. But it sounds like a very interesting penetration test...
