    Default inexpensive shot timer

I would like a shot timer I could use at the range, dont want to break the bank, and dont want something that wont work either.

    saw this:

    input?????

it would be reeeeal niiiice if I could find one that would go BEEP without pressing a button, so I could use it when alone. But I feel thats prob not an option I'm gonna find on the cheap. although I dont really know why not.

Pact Club Timer II is the most cost effective vs feature set you'll find.

Its probably a stretch, but if you have an iPhone, there is a free one that you can download. It has the beep you're talking about and you can set it so that it beeps in 'X' seconds.

Its made by SureFire... i think its called Shot Timer

I have used CED timers in the past without problems, just not that particular model. There is a timer out there with a 'random' start beep, between 1-5 seconds, but don't remember who makes it. Pact?

If you do get the CED you'll have to update us as to quality, etc.

That is a phenomenal price, too good to be true? Why isn't there a description of what it does? Why don't you buy one and do a review here?

Second that. I havent used it yet but its got adjustable sensitivity, random start delay, and you can turn the sensitivity off completely, you can email the results immediately, and it beeps with adjustable volume.
You wont hear it with other people shooting but you can hear it with muffs on.
Ill see if I can give it a shot at the range tomorrow, maybe try a quick mozambique drill(sp?)
Its free but like mentioned only for the iphone or ipod touch.

If your going to try the shot timer mentioned like others mentioned please tell us what you think. Thats a really good price.

That’s not a shot timer it is a stop watch that beeps to begin and beeps to stop used for timed fire competitions(X rounds in X seconds). For a shot timer (start signal beep and then record the shot times) look at the PACT Club Shot Timer 3 or Competition Electronics Pocket Pro Shot Timer. I have the Pocket Pro. It has a random setting for solo practice. Push the button and 3-5 seconds later it starts. Most of the shot timers will do this.

not quite exactly in the $13.00 price range, but i really like my CED 7000.

you can set a specific delay or have a random delay for the beep, so it works great for training by yourself.

lots of other nice features, too.

    a bit pricey, though.
