    Pete,
Somewhere in this thread the use of a rifle had come up.

I can bring my AR-15 if that would be of any use. The bolt assembly is out of it, and I have a wheeled duffel bag that it fits in when broken down into two pieces so it doesn't look like I'm carrying a rifle/case around.

It would have to stay in the room with us, as I'm not leaving it in a locker.

Makes no difference to me. Bring it/leave it at home... your call.

See you all in the morning.
I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

    Great class guys !

Im very pleased we where able to put this together.

Like Tony said at the end, I want training, the problem becomes getting other people involved so that we can hold classes like this and have people to practice with.

If anyone wants to get together and practice some of what we learned today just let me know. I'm in.

At first formal training may seem a bit daunting, and some of what we learn at first is simply how much we dont really know. But once learning begins, and skill increases, then the effects can be profound.

    Competence breeds confidence.

and that carrys out into all areas of my life.

    its all zen and shit

anyway, I learned alot today, now I'm gonna eat leftover pizza and watch cartoons.

    life is good

All learning will be uncomfortable. It will be sweaty. It will be embarrassing. It may even hurt. When those things happen, you know that learning is taking place.

Learning begins with repentance. It may only be that you must repent your lack of knowledge. Or it may be that you thought you knew everything already.

Humility is the outcome of learning. It is reward enough in itself.

Shawn is to be congratulated for promoting a difficult to fill program and marshaling the resources to make it all come together.

    Kudos, young sir.
Never underestimate the value of early training.

I'll tell you what, with the instruction we had, he was throwing me around like a wet dishrag!

I thought the class was great, and I learned a lot of new things, as well as reinforcing a few I already knew. Pete did a great job with teaching it, and despite being locked up with a bunch of smelly people all day long, it was a very good day!
