    Default Educated a neighbor

Last night while out front with my wife, son and 2 y/o daughter a neighbor was walking with his niece. He stopped because he saw our "Welcome Home" sign hanging on the porch and spoke with my son about his time in Iraq.

We changed subject when he realized I was running for council and talked about that for a while. Talked about neighbors and other stuff for a while.

He then looked and pointed at my XD in my Serpa on my side.

Him: Do you always carry a weapon

    Me: Not always but mostly

Him: Are you allowed to carry like that, I thought it had to be concealed.

Me: Advised him only needed a license if concealed or when traveling in a vehicle. (not in philly so it's irrelevant)

Him: Really, I didn't know it was legal. Anyone can carry like that?

Me: As long as you are not prohibited person and as long as you are not getting into a vehicle. Wait, let me get you a pamphlet.

I unlocked my truck and grabbed an OC pamphlet and gave it to him. He glanced it over and said he would look at it later. He went on his way and I went for a walk with my wife and daughter.

    It was a good night.

Great job!! The more people out there are "Gun Smart" the better we all are. What part of town what this? To be honest I am surprised my one neighbor hasn't had a heart attack at the sight of my guns, but I guess you have to be smarter than a brick to be able to react to seeing something.

Great! I'd rep you, but the socialist reputation system wants me to spread it around more first

Great job, man. I just recently had to educate a co-worker on OC. I handed him a pamphlet as well.

Welcome ! to the site it is full of good people and excellent info about firearms and firearms law.

The flier that is handed out most often can be gotten from the pa open carry website (link below) the printable pdf is to the right of the page. You can't miss it. Their is very good info on OC on that site also.

    http://paopencarry.org/

This is the PAFOA law faq and their is also excellent info about firearms law as well as OC and CC law. Take a look at both links here they are very informative.

Nice Job ... the more "educated" people out there the better. Especially when you have idiot council people trying to pass illegal laws.
