Default CCW in citizens bank park

Anybody CCW to a baseball game? Much as I'm a VERY outspoken fan of OC, I'm pretty sure I'd get turned away if I did.

When I went for the first time a few weeks ago (I know, some american I am), they felt my wawa bag (it had, surprise, a turkey hoagie in it) glanced over my iced tea and let me on in. But then, I had no backpack, jacket, cover garment etc.

    Thoughts?

A lot of stadiums check bags. I think their concern is bombs though, not guns.

I've never carried in that park, but the last few times i've been to a game. (not really a big baseball fan, but enjoy it anyway) The security did nothing more than stand there watching the people go in. Granted i never had a bag or anything, but i did wear a jacket due to the the weather.

Carry IWB and you should be ok.

I'm glad you added the hoagie part . Otherwise I would have been placing a call to ACLU on your behalf.

I had to leave an Eagles game last year because I couldn't get past the pat-downs. There was no way you could even get a little Kel Tec past the pat down line.

The only reason I had my .38 on me was because I had to take the subway back home at night. Oh well, I guess I'll never go to another Eagles game.

At Shea they pat you down and use the metal detector wand, but then again it's NY and security is tight.

You can't carry ccw in NYC anyway. Even if you have a NY permit.
I was talking to a guy that had one once for nyc, but I think it was only while he was transporting cash for deposits.
I guess liberals think you only get mugged when you have large sums of money.

No pattings-down at the Phils this time around either - and this time the Kel-Tec came with.

But if they pat ya down at the iggles games, then I guess I'll be next to you at the bar, watching 'em on tv.

MorganB - did you try to get in, i.e. show 'em your permit and stuff? or did you just turn around and leave?
