    Default Sig 239 vs SW99 vs Hi-point 9c vs S&W 500

I went to the range last night to finally fire my Sig 239 I got. I also took my SW99 and a Hi-point 9c that was offerd to me for the price of the tranfer.
When I got there I decided to rent the S&W 500 just to see what would happen.

1st the Sig. Wow! I was shooting 5 rounds at a time and grouping the 5 shoots within a inch at 7 yds. (For me thats good)
Smooth as can be esp. being so new, and eating some 10 year old reloads like it was filet migon.

2nd the SW99. This is the pistol I have the most experience with (400 rds), I think it is breaking in. It seems to get better and better with each round. I put 50 rounds in a 4" group. I'm starting to like it more.

3rd the Hi-Point. Well, this is a cheap firearm, nothing more nothing less. If you need to put lead down range it will do it. It was fairly accurate, it ate the reloads too. It did fail to feed once but it was brand new. If this is all your budget can afford and you need to protect your family than it will do the job. I took it apart to clean & lube it before I went because the slide was sticking. I wouldn't feel comfortable firing 10,000 rounds through it, but it goes bang when you pull the trigger.

4th the Smith & Wesson 500. Forget Extenze, Viagra and such, if this don't make you hard then kill yourself. There really isn't many reasons to why you need one except why not. The rounds alone make you wonder "WTF?".
When you squeeze the trigger and it goes off it is impressive. If I ever become rich and have FU money I would buy one. But until then I have no good reason to really justify purchasing a 500.

I just got my LTCF and haven't gotten a holster for it yet. But it will be my carry piece.

Agreed. My dad took his Hi-Point 9C to the range yesterday and was happy enough with its performance for a $150 gun. I think he had a few FTF/FTEs, but no serious issues. The slide lock is kind of strange, though.
