Default DeSantis Speed Scabbard vs Galco Combat Master holster

Anyone have first hand experience with either of these? I'm a huge fan of both companies, but haven't used either of these particular holsters. I can get the Desantis for $50 locally, the Galco $58, both tan just like I want. Gun is a Beretta 92FS, holster will be for both open carry and casual concealed carry under a vest or open shirt.

OC in unretained open top leather? Bigger balls than me.

The Speed Scabbard looks pretty much like my Black Widow in construction, which tells me it's gonna ride rock solid on a good belt, and can be switched to under the belt for carry tight to the body.

I run the Desantis speed scabbard for my G27 and yes I OC with it. It has two screws you can adjust for tension and to be quite honest we have tried to pull the gun from behind and it is damn near impossible. The ONLY way it comes out is straight up (the normal drawing position).

All in all I really like it and once my Kimber comes in I will be back to buy another for it.

I've used the DeSantis Speed Scabbard for over 20 years and have one for every gun I normally carry. I'm a retired LEO and used it as a duty holster (concealed). Even without a retention strap I never lost a gun running, climbing, or wrestling. That includes when I carried a Taurus PT99AF. That holster doesn't have a retention screw (maybe the new ones have). They do offer the same holster with a strap if you like.

The Speed Scabbard is probably the best concealment holster made in my book.

I cant speak on the Galco since I never tried one.

But the Desantis speed scabbard is my prefered holster for my S&W M&P .40 compact.
It is an excellent concealed carry holster, like it at the range too......thats the only time I get to open carry in public
