IMAX in KOP

Can anyone tell me if the IMAX theater in King of Prussia has metal detectors?

I was told, a stupid rumor, that some theaters were beefing up security.

BTW, If there is any truth to it the IMAX in KOP is not one of them.

I don't patronize places that have metal detectors. With the infrequent and begrudging exception of private airlines. Once I get my IFR and my Cessna, NO MORE! ;-)

As of last Wednesday, no they do not. But theaters are starting to boost their security. I have seen a few National Amusement theaters both in PA and in NY (Long Island) that are now using armed guards.
But none with metal detectors...

If metal detectors are used,there would have to be employees present to "work" them. Belt buckles,watches,steel toe boots,coins.....ect would be setting them off. See what I'm getting at??

I can honestly say I would never patronize a movie theater that had metal detectors either.

Last time I was there, a few months ago, they did not. Great theater, BTW. You can get advance tickets via Fandango (their only agent). Get there early for a good seat.
