Best Handguns in the $500-$700 Range
Sorry, new here. Can anyone give me some ideas on quality semi-autos in this price range? I'm interested in a Glock, but open to suggestions if there are better guns out there.
Thanks.

Plastic guns to look at are the Glock, S&W M&P and Springfield XD - XDM.
1911's from Taurus, Springer loaded parkerized, Para-Ord Expert and STI Spartan.
Other guns to look at IMHO are the guns from CZ and even the lower end Sigs.
Revolvers from S&W and Ruger.
Any of the above are good to choose from.

Glock, Glock or a Glock...
After WW3, only roaches will survive, and they will live in steel AK mags.

Taurus PT92 is a good pistol for the price and Beretta 92SF is also good , and CZ-sp-01 Phantom is a very good 9mm for the money those are 9mm, for .45 get a Citadel , Taurus also has good .45's for a good deal too.

You have a bunch of outstanding options in that price range. IT really depends on what you are planning on using it for and what your preferences are.
Glock makes a good gun, but in that price range you also have the whole M&P and XD line up as well as the FN line up.
For carrying weapon I love Kahr, just an outstanding form factor for concealment, its my wifes daily carry and I carry a M&P9c daily, never had any issue with either.
Don't overlook used guns. You can get H&K USP's all day long for 600 used with spare mags. The first vehicles normally on the scene of a crime are ambulances and police cruisers. If you are armed you have a chance to decide who gets transported in which vehicle, if you are not armed then that decision is made for you.
Be prepared, because someone else already is and no one knows their intent except them.

Gently, lightly loved SIG. Especially one that's been sent back to SIG and re-tweaked and inspected by their master armorers.
Or, I suppose, a Glock. As a far second.

i say find everyone you can in each price range, and fondle them for a long time. you will know which one will fit you best after that.
but i suggest a SIG.Guns don't kill people, it's mostly the bullets.

What do you intend to use the gun for? Do you want a full size or compact gun? What caliber? We need more details!
