Cell Phone
Greetings, Im looking to update my phone through verizon. Im just looking for a basic flip style cell phone that has good reception, text and video messaging. I know the cell phones change day to day, but just hoping to recieve input on the better phones. Thanks in advance.

Re: Cell Phone
GzOne Boulder (in black, not that ugly orange. I switched the red ring with the silver one that comes with it. Looks much better.) It's one expensive ass phone but I really like mine. It's water proof, dust proof, shock proof, and has pic and video. It also has a nifty little digital compass. I'm hard on phones so I just spent the money to get one that's durable. Check Youtube for video of people freezing and abusing this thing.

How much are you looking to spend? Are you New Every Two Eligible? Any preference in manufacturer?

I was at the store a week or so ago. I was looking at the boulder. It was impressive if not ugly.

Re: Cell Phone
I have the Samsung Rugby. I really like it. It's been dropped a number of time without a single scratch on it. Good reception too.
I can tell you've been rady8ed, you have a nice glow about you.

Re: Cell Phone
I had the LG VX8300 for several years and had no complaints. I actually kind of miss that phone.
I now have the LG enV2 (which is not a flip up phone) and have no real complaints. Trying to use the phone in the closed position is kind of tough due to the small screen (and aging eyes). Opening it up makes things better as does the qwerty keyboard.

Re: Cell Phone
I to had the 8300 and every phone since, I have compared them to it. i just do the one year contract, I get a discount and only pay about 20-30 dollars more for a one year contract. I like that way better, just incase i ever break it. I can get get the boulder for 30 bucks with a one year contract.. A friend has the boulder and says it freezes alot.
