Roslyn Farms PD Gets a Rifle!

Just read this in the paper today. Apparently the borough council has little to do so they have been debating storage of the PD's new Bushmaster rifle. According to the article, they paid about $820 for the rifle, $700 for a rack and $950 for installation.

Now, I'm thinking that must be one heck of a rack to cost $700 with a $900 installation. I really hope that's for installation of a rack in the patrol car.

The article goes on to say that the mayor is considering buying safes for the chief and one officer to use. One council member is concerned and says that she doesn't like the idea of the rifle in a home.

While Roslyn Farms is a nice quite bedroom community,bad people do tend to sneak into the area and do bad things.I'm not sure if their department assists Ingram Boro, Crafton Boro or Robinson Twp much but if they do the Bushmaster could come in handy.I really feel bad that someone is charging them that much to install the rack however.tom.

A rifle...Ha ha , You go Roslyn Farms !! Hoot hoot !! I know it sounds rediculous but I can actually relate . Where I live , I wouldn't even know where to find a LEO. But i do love it there !
