And the winner of this week's "Dee dee dee" award is...
Or, "Rule 3, revisited."
Tonight, outside of East Berlin, PA, on the York County side, a woman was driving home from work on State Route 234 when she experienced the loud noise and thump feeling of something hitting her car. Fearing that she may have hit something and caused damage, she immediately pulled over to check.
Imagine her horror when she found that a 12 gauge rifled slug had struck the back driver's side door of her car, ripped through the rear seat at an upward angle, popped up from the rear seat about midway through, and hit the passenger side door hard enough to damage the interior of the door, but not to exit the door itself.
She was kind enough to show it to me, and I felt the need to share the experience here. The guy who shot her car has been identified and is being charged with REAP.
All I can say is: <headslap> JUST WHAT WE NEED!

This reminds me of the time when I was in the passenger seat in my friend's van, and we were on the highway. We both heard a loud pop. I got out of my seat and looked at the rearmost window on the right side. There was a .22 hole in the window, and the glass was cracked. Later, my friend found the bullet in the van. The bullet missed me by seven feet.

wonder what the guy was shooting, and if he was inebriated. Maybe he saw the story from Texas and was shooting at 'trespassers'

I'm sorry, yes, REAP is Recklessly Endangering Another Person. Sorry, and/or my bad.
I don't have pictures. I was shown the car as a courtesy, and they offered to let me take pics, but all I had was my cell phone camera, and I declined.
He was not intoxicated, nor was he shooting at her intentionally. He failed to be aware of what was beyond his backstop when he missed his target.
