Can you REALLY make money from Google ???

Ok , I know by now that there are many people here one helluva alot more tech savvy then me . As I said in other threads , my Wife is now on Dr mandated maternity leave and will be at home for at least the next year . I have seen several ads , blogs , etc for " Make Money from Home with Google " type of things . I tried looking into it as much as possible , but Snopes comes back zilch .

Part of me wants to accept the argument at face value that it really is likely a legit way to make a decent income , getting paid by Google to post links . But the other part of me calls BS , under the proverbial " if it sounds to good to be true , it probably is " mantra . I mean 5k to 7 k a MONTH ??? Working from home ??? If thats legit , from essentially doing " data entry " then I'll quit my job with Verizon and stay home and homeschool my kids .

Anyone have any knowledge or ideas i this stuff is legit ??
The most popular one asks me to pay $2.95 for shipping to get the " Kit "

I figure I can afford to waste three bucks to find out , just dont want to get my hopes up .

Any thoughts guys ????

Just guessing here, but I'd say that of course some people make some money that way, but it's probably not as quick and easy as they make it sound.

OTOH, if it is, maybe someone who does it will let me know too

I'd say too that most of the money is probably made from porn links and sites.

Don't do it, My girl friend tried that, Ad said pay 1.95 to get started...2 weeks later her credit card was charged 79.95..She called the "Company" only to find out it was not the "Company" That charged the card...To make a long story short it is a scam..She had to close that CC and be issued a new one...

This same type of thing used to go on and was advertized in the back of magazines.......And it was Legit!

Just place your add and when people (Thousands of them) send their $3.99 to you, tell them to place the same add you did but in a different periodical.

They cant get you for false advertising cause you did sell them an idea. They cant say they want their money back as the product works and the proof is they sent you the money. Just pay your taxes and your golden.

Dont believe me? Look in the back of Rolling Stone Ragazine, theirs ten adds per month for this crap, all of them make money.

Sure, you can make money from Google if you sign up for their ad service (and have some good content to serve the ads on).

But there is no way, no how you are making money signing up through some get-rich-quick doing-nothing ponzi scam. PLEASE, remember what someone told you at some point in your life, and what the voice in the back of your head is saying: if it's too good to be true, it probably is. (or: nothing is free)

This is a pure and simple pyramid scheme. The only way to "make" money is to bring more suckers in. Only the guy that started it and a couple of early adopters who were probably with him are going to make anything.

Stay far, far, far away. Pretty please?

5 years ago you could make a killing just by putting up blogs and article sites and throw some Adsense on them. I know people that were making $5k a month doing it, then Google started their bullshit and sure enough you don't make squat any more. Add to that the fact that people have become so used to seeing Adsense units they now ignore them.

Then there is also the utter BULLSHIT Google pulls when they close your account and keep all the money. That's right, they just did it to my corporate Adsense account last month. One day I get an email saying they have noticed 'improper clicks' and they were suspending my account (means you're screwed and they take any money you have earned). There is a form to file a dispute but I have yet to hear of one person that got it overturned. To top it off they refuse to show you ANY evidence of these so-called 'improper clicks' because it would 'compromise their software'. Well I knew damn well there were no bad clicks because I don't even go to my sites let alone click on the ads. Sure enough a week later I get another email saying "sorry, our evidence outweighs yours" and they STOLE my $200+.

Fuck Google, you would be better off dealing with the devil, they have become a thousand times worse than MS ever was and no one has the money to challenge them in court for their thievery.
