.22 magnum derringer question
I have a Davis derringer in .22 magnum. I was wondering if it was possible to shoot .22 long rifle cartridges through this safely. I don't know why this just occurred to me, I've only owned it for 10 years.
I believe the answer to be "no" most likely due to the difference in the length of the chamber but, I would like some clarification.
Thanks in advance.Sed ego sum homo indomitus

No. the 22mag is a tapered cartridge and the case is larger in diameter.

Re: .22 magnum derringer question
If you could get a .22 LR barrel for it, you'd be all set. Is Davis still in business or is someone else making these now????
There are three kinds of people in this world....them what's good at math and them what ain't.
