Default First Day of Work in my Life

And surprisingly it went very well.

I'm working at dorney in the games departement, so any games from dominator to steel force is in my area I work. I had to work hi striker from 2-8 (the strength test with the big hammer and all) Had a group leader come up to me and say that a superior was very impressed with me and I would most likely be put on commission. So yeah get my regular paycheck and a cut of the profits from the game I work. You guys have to visit sometime this summer, Once school is out i'll work 4 to close. I'm a little heavy set kid. See the too fat to be a boyscout thread and you should have no problem picking me out haha.

Don't stop doing what you're doing! Getting a reputation as a guy who does a good job no matter what he's doing will serve you well in every avenue of your life. It's great to see a young guy with a good attitude do well!

    Congrats!

Congratulations on your first day. Now, until you DIE you will never be free again. You have just graduated into the ranks of employment, give it five years and you'll be wishing you were a kid again. Muahaha.

So damn true. Sad thing is I started working when I was around 10-12 on the local farms. I swear I wish I could go back to working and having no responsibilities like car payments, student loans, mortgage payments, and food. I wouldn't mind having my wife and son, but the lack of financial responsibilities would be GREAT!

Would take some hard work and planning, but it's certainly doeable and definitely possible.

Already following a modified Ramsey approach. Have paid off one car already (or rather will in the next 2-3 months). I was also sort of talking about the tax obligations and such too. I remember doing so much more fun shit when I was like 15-17 and on a lot less money.

Congrats bud. It should be a fun summer for you - with some extra cash to boot. Good job on moving up the ladder on your first day.
