Wolf Pistol Ammo?
Anyone ever buy Wolf pistol ammo? Sportsmans Guide has a pretty good price on .45 ACP and I am considering purchasing some. Why is it so cheap?
Any reasons not to shoot it in my Sig 220?
Thanks for your responses.VEGETARIAN: Native American word meaning "bad hunter"

Re: Wolf Pistol Ammo?
My Cavalier was cheap. It does what it's supposed to do and I've not had any trouble with it in ten years and it's OK on gas. That said, I drive my Silverado 4x4 and let the Cavlier sit at home most days.
Russian manufacture, non-reloadable(steel case) and everyone sez it's "dirty". I use Wolf for my SKS, but that's the kind of food it was made to eat.
Ask GUNRUNNERS OF PA for some(.45)at the Group Shoot this Sunday. Try it and see how it works for you.I called to check my ZIP CODE!....DY-NO-MITE!!!

Re: Wolf Pistol Ammo?
I once wrote to Springfield to ask if my XD's could handle +p ammo. They told me that they could in moderation and their main caution about ammo is don't use hand-loads and DON'T USE WOLF.

Re: Wolf Pistol Ammo?
I've shot tons of wolf through different firearms and the only ones that wont shoot it are my Springfields and they dont want you to use it either... my Sig's all shoot it ok.... and my AR even likes the 223 ammo.

Re: Wolf Pistol Ammo?
Seems to be a great divide in opinions here. Anyone have an issue with Wolf ammo? Increased jams, craked frame, worn barrels? I am hearing first hand positive remarks and second hand negative remarks.

Re: Wolf Pistol Ammo?
Just more proof the XD is inferior to my glock? I have thousands upon thousands of round of wolf through my glock and the worst that's happened was a very occasional hard primer. Because wolf has harder primers, it makes for (A) the occasional misfire to make training better and (B) a good indication of when it's time to change my springs/clean my gun. With white box i've seen squibs and primers put in backwards, i've even seen bullets put in backwards. It's no dirtier and just as accurate as white box, and UMC and it's cheaper. My AR shoots MOA with it. I've shot over 2000 rounds of the stuff through my glock in one training weekend without cleaning. No problems other than about a dozen hard primers.
All you will ever find on wolf is first hand positive remarks and second hand negative remarks, because the guys who tell you it's junk have never tried it (i.e. don't know what they're talking about.)

Hey, in my search for cheap ammo, I came across these guys

Pretty good prices as far as I can tell. Looks like the Blazer costs less than the Wolf. I picked up a couple of boxes of Blazer .45 and AE 9MMVEGETARIAN: Native American word meaning "bad hunter"
