Too Smooth!
I have a S&W 915 with the factory grips. It's the only pistol I own that just doesn't feel right when I grip it (too smooth). I've tried slip on grips, replacement Hogue grips, etc. I really need to keep the grip size as small as possible. I don't want to put on any tape or change the appearance much, so does anyone have any ideas to make the grip "less smooth"?

The first thing that comes to mind is the Houge

That might get you to where you want.
I'd not want to try modifying the nice factory grips, but it may be an alternative.
