Questions about my new AR

I have 2 questions regarding my new RRA Entry Tactical:

1. I am planning on getting a Daniel Defense Omega Rail (7, carbine length) for it. Will this rail fit over my barrel (HBAR)? If not, what are other quality free float rails that will fit over an HBAR?


Edit: question #2. what is a good quality rear folding BUIS that is also slim enough to have an ACOG ride over it when it is folded down?

1. Yes. But have you considered going with a LaRue rail instead?

2. Troy is probably the highest quality piece. You could also go with a MI (Midwest Industries) SPLP, or an ARMS 40L.

I'm sure I'll have to take some lumps suggesting this one but have you seen Magpul's MBUS. Saw them last cruising around the AR sites and I thought they looked good and price was right!

They look nice and the price is good. I've never had any problems with any Magpul products before. I'm just not sure if they're low profile enough for the OP's application.

On a side note, to the OP: Do you have a LaRue mount for your ACOG? If not, GET ONE!

I don't have an ACOG yet, have to save up for one. I thought they came ready to mount on the flat top rail.

I have looked at LaRue rails and they seem great but a few minor things turned me away:

1. Pricey

2. DD Omega rail has that little back extension that makes it flush with the receiver rail.

3. DD Omega rail is a little thinner width wise so lights/lasers will not stick out as far (not much, I know, but I'm picky)

forgot to mention this in the question, but are the BUIS mentioned above A2 configuration? I have the standard A2/A3 (think they are the same) front post and was wondering if they all would match it, height wise?

Yep, they should work.

They do, but the LaRue mounts are far superior to the mounts supplied with the ACOG.

Doesn't a LaRue rail have to be put on by a smith though?
