    Smile New in Lancaster

Dear Folks, My daughter lives in Lancaster city,Pa. I'm here for a short time and am going to take her shooting for the first time.(she's 19) I'd like to get her with some other ladies of like nature to learn about fire arms ,safety, etc. I'm taking her to "target master" in Chadds Ford area. Are there any indoor ranges in Lancaster? Thanks for any help and/or suggestions.

I live a couple miles outside Lancaster City and the only place I know of to shoot in the area is the Manheim Sportsman's Association. On Tuesday nights they open their pistol range to the public for $5 from 7-9pm. Frangible ammo only because it is indoors. Other members who are more familiar with the area might help a little bit more, but enjoy your stay.

I have been to a couple dozen ranges and I can say that Targetmaster is the last place you want to go. The staff are giant gaping assholes. _

The New Holland Rifle and Pistol Club is a first rate facility with lots of different ranges (mostly outdoor) and looks reasonably close to you. I have shot there a few times and it's one of the best I have been to. It's members only, but give a call and maybe you can shoot for a while to see if your daughter might want to join. The fee is small and that would be a place she might meet some people who could teach her well. The thought of you spending your money at Targetmaster makes me sick.
