Default One of the reasons I carry a firearm...

I came across this video after listening to the 911 call posted in another post:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPofR...eature=related

What would you have done? I think what this guy did was funny as hell. I normally would not agree with taking someones property... but I think concerning what could have happened, they got off light.

    Thoughts?

Assuming there is no cell phone,
1- Stay on the main road, drive to a police station. Speed and safely navigate red lights or stop signs if necessary, with any luck you'll attract the attention of an officer to explain the situation. Failing that, find a heavily populated area, preferably with CCTV in the parking lot where the monkeys are less likely to beat their chests. Use a store phone, pay phone, or ask around for someone to contact the police.
2- If I'm cornered in a dead end, exit the vehicle. Upon seeing the bat or feeling detained, draw my sidearm (aiming with both hands, not that 'cool' half slant thing he did.) and in the loudest voice I can muster yell a series of clear commands to assume control. "Drop the bat, now! You with the camera, get over here in front of the vehicle! Show me your hands!"
3- Date a woman with some sense about her. Zero points for staring at the ground on her way to retrieve the camera. He could have been ready to take her head off and she wouldn't have known it until she looked up right in front of him. My date would also likely be armed and assisting, I'm not a fan of playing the hero to silly useless women.
4- Take the camera, and the keys, lock their truck, and return to my vehicle with them face down on the ground with their hands in plain sight. Find a police station, watch the video with them, hand them the keys and camera, tell them the story and where to find them.

Errors I saw in the video:
1- Fighting back and forth. I get it, someone insults you, you have to swear back. It's not a personality trait of mine so I would just let it go and try to avoid the situation entirely. I wouldn't have stopped for 1 second to give them the time to preach to me.
2- Whatever that "too cool" gun pose was. Doesn't seem terribly accurate.
3- Further swearing and questioning. Just give them the commands required for your safety and be on your way, who cares "why."
4- Sending his downward staring passenger to fetch the camera as he creeps behind the truck out of sight. Maybe he was getting tired of her and she was disposable?
5- Allowing him to creep behind the truck out of sight.
6- Allowing them to remain standing.
7- Giving them access to their vehicle at all.
8- Assuming the camera as a "gift," implying he's stealing it and not using it as evidence for a crime against him? So now he's a thief, not a victim.
I'm sure there are more, that's just what stuck out.

    *edit*
    watched it again,
9- Turning your back on two attackers who I have to assume were not checked for weapons as you get comfy in your car, leaving their truck door wide open where they could access any weapon that might be stored in the vehicle. The 'victim' is lucky he wasn't killed even after establishing his dominance with a gun.

If i'm not mistaken I believe this video was proven a fake a long while back.

It indeed was, unfortunately I can't find the reference for the debunking.

I hope it is fake considering the way that guy holds his firearm.

That was one of the dumbest, poorest scripted things I've seen in a long time. I've seen pornos that were more believable than that.

Just watched it again, the first time I took it at face value (it was around 1am and could not sleep)

Now that I have seen it again. I realize my error.

Guess thats why the Infomercials come on so late at night....

Scripted. Any average person would have put an end to that situation well before the dead end.

No where to flee due to sitting in traffic. Looks like you would have to step out of the car, in fear he may come to the drivers side door, break the window, and try to hit or pull you out. Once out of the car, one would have to pull there sidearm to place something between yourself and the big rock holding baddy.
Pending he advanced towards you, and having know where to go since your in the middle of a traffic jammed street, one would have to resort to a double tap to ensure the safty of ones self. . . . .
