Default Newbee to IPSC at PMSC

Hey gang. I am a member at PMSC and am going to attend the IPSC practice this Thursday night. What should I expect? Is 100 rounds enough ammo to bring? Is .45 ACP cool to shoot. I will have my Sig P220.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    .45ACP is fine.

100 rounds will be fine. you can shoot as little or as much as you want. i sometimes go through more than 100 rounds on a thursday night depending on how many other people are shooting, but not usually.

i haven't been out to the last two thursdays (work's been crazy), but i imagine they have moved outside to the IPSC bays up around back now that the weather is nicer and it is staying light out longer.

everyone who comes out is really friendly and helpful...just show up and all will be good.

oh, if you have any mag holders, bring those along also. most of the drills involve mag changes. if you don't you may be able to borrow some...or just use your pocket.

I expect delivery in the next couple of days on my Uncle Mikes double mag holder. If it doesn't come before Thursday, I will just need to use the old weak side back pocket. It's not too bad. The mags are single stack and the 10 round ones stick out of my pocket.

    Hope to see you there.

Rolando, I thought you were on your way to the left coast. Hope to see you there tomorrow night.

Lycanshowmetheropesthrope, thanks for the offer. I have still come up empty on turkeys, so I will be chasing those little bastards around the woods on Saturday.

The mag case came in, so I am ready for my IPSC show on OLN!

I shot at the IPSC practice last night at PMSC. Wow, was that fun. What a great group of guys. Schedule permitting, I plan to be there every Thursday.

Wings and beer afterwards were great too!

Roland, Loooking forward to shooting with you when you get back. I heard that you are a big fan of the wings and the beer. We share that passion.

All levels of shooters last night. Something for everyone.

If I have one bad thing to say about it, it is that Mark and Little Red Toyota have put an AR bug in me. I need to take some sort of pill to get rid of this bug because I can barely afford to shoot my .45, let alone buy a .223!
