Holster help needed for Eastern PA Spring Picnic

I would like to attend the picnic in May, but Blackhawk tells me that my Serpa holster is on backorder and will not arrive until a week or two after the picnic. I have an XD .45, and i'm not sure that the included holster is appropriate for open carry. does anyone have a holster i can borrow for the event? I live in Allentown, and i would like to try it out before the picnic date so that i can practice drawing from it first.

The XD holster will work, if the tension is properly adjusted.
There is a HUGE show in York this week-end. I'm sure you could find one there.

I'd suggest going to your local shop and trying some different holsters, most will fit more than what they say o the lable. I'm sure they'll have one that will fit, might even have a Blackhawk Serpa.

I too am using a Serpa for my XD45 (5") and it works very well. The last time I was in one of the shops here in York, they had a couple holsters for the XD. If you want to do something, let me know. I'd be willing to buy it and ship it to you, save you the drive.

Unfortunately, I only have 2 holsters for the 2 pistols we own.

i should point out that the Serpa holster is already ordered. it won't do me any good to buy a second holster. then i would have to buy a second pistol, and you know where that leads.

You can always cancel that order if you were to find one at the gun show, or one in a local shop...Just my .02 cents
