I've tried the 320gr 44cal Keith style with gas checks from Leadheads.. Accurate enough out of my Virginian Dragoon Silhouette at about 1400+fps. Really whacks a iron gong nice and loud.

They are pricey, seem to shoot well..

Well I just bought a bunch of Bullets to compare, LeadHead, Penn and Missouri to compare against my Oregon Trail. Will Share the range reports as I go.

Range reports are always nice to have.

I usually shoot cheapo's and lightweight/faster slugs. I splurged once and got those super heavy thumpers I mentioned. They performed well, but thats all I've ever tried out of theirs. I can tell you that 320gr'rs at smoking velocity have some serious frig'n recoil even with my gun's magna-porting. lol

Well here is the range report. They were all loaded in new cases, CCI 300 primers with Accuarte #2 5.5 grains. With an OAL of 1.26" Did 3 rouds of 5 with each and took the best.
Pistol - Kimber Gold Match II from a Shooters Ridge Steady Point Pistol Shooting Rest
    Oregan trail 200g SWC
    Best Group 1.18"
Missouri Bullets Bulls Eye #1 200g SWC
    Best Group 1.95"
    Leadbetter 200HG 200g SWC
    Best Group 1.58"
    Leadbetter IPSC 200g RNBB
    Best Group 1.74"
    Notes:
All the bullets were consistent the groups only varied slightly
OT cut amazingly clean wholes noticeably better
Leadbetter were the messiest to load to much lube not as neat as the others.
All companies claim to not contribute to leading in the barrel to have not used enough to say this is true but the barrel showed no lead after this small test.

At what range (distance) were these groups fired" That matters a lot.

    Thanks
