'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was 'desecrated' when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet?...Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.
I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.
I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for chopping off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling slashed throat.
I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.
I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide.
I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.
In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I don't care.
When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident, rest assured: I don't care.
When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank: I don't care.
When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars, is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.
And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled 'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed it-I don't care!!

When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said: 'A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in.. And how many want out.'

Ask yourself how many boats are leaving our shores for another place to live. I have a $100.00 for every boat with 4 or more people and you in it leaving this great country.

thats all well and good and macho, but when you sanction the mistreatment and torture of "others" you sell out all the values that those 3000 and more died for, the thousands of American troops and the victims of terrorism around the world. Hate is short sighted. It will turn on you. One day you will think back and wonder where it all started, when you have no rights, and the government searches your home and kicks you to the curb...remember that it started here with this mentaility, this fear and hate.

I wonder how you would feel if one of the 3000 was one of your familymemgers. I have no problem with killing the SOBS. I have no problem stripping some of them and taking a picture of them. I could care less if they were humiliated. I have no problem doing whatever it takes to win. I can hate them and still get a good nights sleep. I can assure you they are thinking likewise. My hate for them does not consume me in the least. I give the most miserable sobs the benefit of the doubt. I don't hate my country or anybody in it. But I have no problem hating our enemies. You mess with my country, you better be ready for the anger coming your way. Winning is not for the faint of heart, it takes guts and determination. I have both and enough left over for the ones that don't. If I could have joined our our brave men and women after 911, I would have. Maybe she doesn't care, but I can care enough for the both of us. How easily people forget what happened on that fatefull day. I for one will never forget.

If that was directed at me...one was, among various other relations, not counting my family that got out...

Hardly a day goes by that I am not confronted with the reality of that day, empty seats and broken hearts, my friends still suffer, but I, and we, remain on the moral highground, so that if they died for anything, they died to demonstrate our honor and resolve in the face of unimagineable horror.

Claiming that ANYTHING We , as Americans have done , is even remotely close to the above listed atrocities is not only immensely insulting , it shows either a stunning naivete' about the level of truly evil forces we are fighting or a piss poor attempt at assuaging one's personal distaste for such tactics by claiming the phony superiority of the moral high ground when fighting a battle against forces that have NO morals !!

No thanks , laying bloody and dying on the high ground of moral superiority is a helluva lot worse then staying alive , by partaking in distasteful but sometimes necessary tactics in order to survive .

Frankly if it were up to me , I'd be pulling a page from The Brits ( or maybe it was Black Jack Pershing ) and gathering up the battlefield prisoners , forcing them to watch the slaughter of a few pigs , the collection of pigs blood , and then dipping the bullets in said pigs blood before executing them one at a time . Leaving the last man alive to set free and return the message of what went down , and would befall the rest , to his comrades .

But thats just me , I can be a sadistic SOB when the situation calls for it
