Open carried in Jefferson & Clearfield Co.'s

Just to give you guys and gals a feel for the Du Bois, Brookville and Summerville areas I OC'd today on my normal Friday runnings to Du Bois.

Not a problem.. No weird looks, not even from the New Jersey couple that pulled into Taco Bell in front of me. No issues at my bank.. Nor at the Falls Creek Sheetz by the State Trooper that was in line beside me. No problems at the convenience store near my house in Brookville or along the road down SW of Summerville as I helped a coworker stake a new pole line.

I figure I'd at least get the "terrified deer in headlights" look from the Jersey couple.. lol ...But no, only a smile and a nod. Hell they even sat down at the table beside mine when nearly every other table was open. They couldn't have mistaken me for an LEO, I was in jeans, t-shirt and engineer boots - plus have showing some of my ink on my arms.

Bumpa-doodle... follow up for everyone..

For the last few years I've been openly and concealed carrying in this neck of the woods. This area is really relaxed towards the sight of a firearm. Only once in the last few years has a LEO asked me "whats up?", and "why ya carrying?". I think he was more curious than anything, never hassled me or kept me from my destination - made small talk.

About a year and a half ago I was carrying my Ruger Vaquero in my hi-ride crossdraw on a cartridge belt in Subway on Brady St in DuBois. There were 4 of DuBois' finest having lunch about 8 feet away, all I received was a nod and a thumb's up.

I don't OC all the time, just depends on my mood and clothing attire.

Sheetz - Brookville, Falls Creek, all three of DuBois'
Lowes - DuBois
Dollar Store - Reynoldsville and DuBois
DuBois Mall
Shop & Save - DuBois

Theres more places I've carried, just cant remember at the moment.
