Open Carry: Tactically sound or not?
To start this off, I think that open carry is tactically un-sound. The element of suprise is given up, and you become a target for the bad guy among other things. Just my opinion. Yours?

Re: Open Carry: Tactically sound or not?
Is it? In every possible open carry scenario imaginable the element of surprise is lost?
and you become a target for the bad guy among other things.

Re: Open Carry: Tactically sound or not?
My purely subjective opinion is that open carry might make you less of a target for low level riff raff, but then you become more vulnerable to the hard core 3%-ers who might have attacked you regardless, and now they see all your cards on the table.
