Charles Daly - anyone have an opinion?
I don't know much about this company. I have seen a few products by them that caught my eye. Including a youth model pump-action 20 gauge.
While I am familiar with many of the larger arms manufacturers and their quality and reputation. I am less so with the smaller.
Is Charles Daly considered a decent brand, good quality and reliability? Or is it lower-end brand like Rossi, Hi-Point, etc.

If anyone can give some input, would be appreciate. :-)N.U.G.U.N. "New User of GUNs Blog"

Re: Charles Daly - anyone have an opinion?
I don't have one, but know a couple of guys who do - no complaints. I think they are considered middle of the road... a friend has a 25-06, shoots very well after installing an aftermarket trigger. I would own one, don't know that I would search one out if buying.

Re: Charles Daly - anyone have an opinion?
I bought a Charles Daly 20GA pump youth model for my wife several months ago. The quality seems to be on a par with my Remmy 870 12GA.
They have a fairly good website and forum pages at http://www.charlesdalyforum.com/

Speaking about Their AR-15 Lineup... I think they're mostly hype and great Marketing / Advertising. You can buy a DPMS, Rock River etc. with similar quality for less.
Can't speak to their other products.

Re: Charles Daly - anyone have an opinion?
I'm pretty sure Charles Daly is mostly just an importer of smaller european brands that they slap their name on.

Depending on how much weight you put in "The Chart" Charles Daly Defense AR-15s are very well made and put together. Never handled or even seen one in person so I can't comment personally.

Re: Charles Daly - anyone have an opinion?
I never owned a Charles Daly branded handgun I have owned a FEG highpower (which was imported by them) I called to ask questions and they were quick to put me through tech support where a tech was more than happy to answer all my questions and look up the date of manufacture. I thought that was pretty good service from them. I also know they hang around the forums and ask for input from users. I think they offer decent products for the money.

Re: Charles Daly - anyone have an opinion?
I have a Charles Daly AR that I have been happy with right out of the box. I have not had one single issue with it as of this date. I believe it is a quality firearm and would not hesitate to purchase another. This has been my only experiance with them though and I can not speak for their other products since I have not fired one of their shotguns or pistols.
