Default Illegal Border Patrol Search Foiled By Constitutionally Educated Traveler

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KFS7oZtE8Ks

Video is a bit long, but its so refreshing it's worth the watch.

Some high lights of the video

One officer exclaims "oh this is enough" and proceeds to unreel a baton threatening to smash the drivers window in.

Later on, back up arrives and states, "i dont know what my suspicion is but i know you're up to some illegal activity" as reason to search the vehicle.

Same officers says something along the lines of "most americans cooperate with our checkpoint searches, since you are not cooperating with the inspection that in and of itself makes you suspicious"

I'm hoping you were referring to the agents, and not the citizen.

    LOL @ 1:14

Officer: I can’t hear anything you’re saying, sir.
Citizen: Can you hear what I’m saying now?!
Officer: No, sir, I cannot hear you! All I hear is…
Citizen: Then how’d you answer the question if you can’t hear me?

The amazing part is how many people left comments there blaming the citizen for failing to roll over and grasp his ankles, and submit to a warrantless search. We used to have a Bill of Rights that had teeth, now we line up for intrusive searches in exchange for the right to travel by air.

The whole ICE organization is a sham. It should never have been created. Talk about a drain on the economy I wonder how many millions/billions go to this organizations running cost each year. How much money goes to these banana holes and they dont even train these people on simple right and wrong.

A badge does not make you above the law. Calling an american citizen a terrorist, brandishing weapons, and laughing at him, while illegally detaining him at a checkpoint is treason. It's treason against the american people.
The officer at one point states, "we are here by proxy of the american people". What american people? What American would condone this type of activity?

What levels of suspicion are there? This guy is full of shit. Theres one level of suspicion. Reasonable Articulable Suspicion. This is what I've been taught in my CJ classes. Is there a magic level of suspicion once you become a federal employee that civilians aren't allowed to know about?

Sorry but standing up for your rights does not make someone a terrorist. The officer and his compadre's were the terrorists here. Acting outside the law and terrorizing a man traveling inconspicuously on the road.

Want to save money, should have stuck some of our military along the border for the last 30 years. Instead of paying upwards and over of 100,000 a year to "veteran" ICE agents and Border Patrol.

Why was it ok NOT to show ID?
I am happy the way it turned out but as a legal question why was he able to do this? Was it becasue it was a check point and not a traffic stop?

We have real problems in this country. Seems like people dont want to follow the constitution and people dont want to demand the law follows it. What a shame. It goes to show you when you get something you didnt work for you piss on it. It goes for welfare as well as our rights.

Human beings are their own worse nightmare!!!!
