which 9mm HP bullet has best penetration?

i was wondering what bullet has the best penetration for HP? if a BG was holding a gun pointing it at you with his arms up you would need extra penetration thru the arm then the torso.

I think that you will be fine with any quality HP. I always practice shooting controlled pairs(double taps) and his arm should be out of the way by the second shot. Unless you hit the bone, but like i just said, the second shot shouldn't hit the same spot because he will probably move and so will your gun. I would worry about over penetration.

Hornady XTP (extreme terminal penetration) is a very good penetrator, i need not say more , just try a box.

I just got a box of Hornady Critical Defense for my G19. Haven't shot them but they are suppossed to be very good from what I hear.

i thought the idea of using a HP was so it wouldnt penetrate, it would mushroom and stop. if you want something to penetrate, just use a FMJ round. but then you have to worry about over penetration and my be liable for hitting something behind the person.

You need adequate penetration, but not too much. A properly designed hollowpoint can achieve both. Hopefully!

I am jealous. I am waiting for them to come in stock. In the meantime I've gotten a box of Hornady Custom 9mm.

all i found was hydra-shok and gold dot 147gr ,i am really really looking for the 124 gr gold dots thats what the police are using.
