Subtle Sarcasm or True Believer?
From this weeks Ambler Gazette (April 15)
Obama's politics are refreshing
To the Editor:
It is refreshing to have a politician who says what he means and proceeds to follow up on his campaign promises. Many didn't listen, but Barak Obama repeated many times that his primary idea was about change.
It is particularly enlightening to see an American president in Europe at the G-20 conference being praised and accepted with hopes and expectations to settle the world economy.
The abundance that America has experienced in the last decade can be shared with more of the world's citizens. The powers that be have chosen equality over prosperity and security over freedom.

Re: Subtle Sarcasm or True Believer?
Hard to read conclusively. I'd bet on sarcasm though.
Are those choices mutually exclusive? Why not have all four?
Although "the abundance part" I'm not sure that Obama actually said. The last decade was a debt (or VC) fuelled bubble. First, it was flipping Internet companies then it was flipping houses. It was a game of hot potato. At least we got some computers, TVs, and kitchen renovations out of the ordeal.
I'm not sure who's more screwed, America for being indebted to China and other foreigners or China for being the ones who trashed their country and their health in exchange for Treasury bonds which we are about to inflate into nothing.
I chuckle a bit inside. But only a bit.

It reads like sarcasm to me, but I sincerely worry that it isn't and more people are beginning think in the way this article is written.
