i know i shouldn't have the optic mounted on the forearm but there isn't enough room on the upper for everything. the magnifier won't clear the buis. i may try a larue mount to raise it up and put a cantilever mount i have on the fakepoint so they line up. i need to move it back like 1 or 2 slots to get better eye relief but i can still see out of it ok.

may get out to a range tomorrow to see how the magnifier works, if it breaks i'm only out $40 so no biggie.

Like you said, optic on the handguard is no good. You really need a low profile BUIS. Either an ARMS 40L or a MI SPLP should work.

the ARMS still touches the magnifier, i have one and it no workie.

i'll probably end up going with higher mounts like larue offers

it's a copy of the aimpoint magnifier. glass is suprisingly clear on it. had do do some cutting of the rubber boot and some dremeling to get it to fit without adding a really expensive mount.

i'm probably going to end up with a nice 1x4 power scope soon maybe the millet dms-1 since they have good reviews
