How do i turn off the thread subscription thing?

This has been irritating me ever since i joined here...everytime i make a post in a thread, it puts it in the subscribed threads and then emails me whenever theres a new response. I'm getting tired of all the emails and tired of having to constantly clear out the subscribed threads list. I've tried looking through the user cp and cant seem to find the option to turn this off. Can anyone help me?

Go to your user CP, click the edit options menu item and in there is a drop down that allows you to set subscriptions, set it according to what you want

To get rid of current email notifications go to your USER CP, along the left scroll down to SUBSCRIBED THREADS click on LIST SUBSCRIPTIONS put a check mark in the NOTIFICATION box scroll down and in the drop down menu click called SELECTED THREADS choose DELETE then push GO.

To stop any future subscriptions go back to your USER CP click EDIT OPTIONS scroll down to MESSAGING & NOTIFICATIONS and on the drop down menu in the DEFAULT THREAD SUBSCRIPTION MODE choose NO EMAIL NOTIFICATION or DO NOT SUBSCRIBE.
