    Default NON firearm home defense?

Being a gun forum I would imagine most of us use a combination of shotguns, pistols, and rifles to protect our property and families. But does anyone use a non-firearm weapon as well? Growing up I remember checking out a strange noise out back with a flashlight and a machete. Right now I have access to large knives, a big cleaver, an axe, baseball bat, a chainsaw, blowtorch, a bowling ball, other garden implements, a hatchet, and two attack dogs.

So what do you have access to, and if our guns get taken (and let's keep that from happening) what is your go-to home defense weapon?

i have a nice collection of sharp, pointy things, and heavy, blunt things. two katanas (not that flea market crap, but the real deal), a couple of Cold Steel 'hawks, an aluminum baseball bat, multiple large kitchen knives, a chihuahua-pomeranian mix, a shovel, pot and pans, fire extinguishers, and enough household chemicals that i could turn into offensive weapons in under a minute.

Two 1lb. pepper sprays, 2 8x21 ASP batons, 3 24" staight night sticks, staff I made myself, enough knives of all sizes that I could outfit an anti zombie army (I collect knives as well at guns). These all aside from the normal kitchen blades, tools, and such that are found in most homes.
BTW, I will not try to use a coat hanger for HD. Sorry, old joke from a TV show in the 60's.

    So..........

Am I the only one going for the chainsaw?

Personally, I don't know what would suck more, being shot or being gnawed by a chainsaw..

I don't think any one thing can be as good as a well trained dog.

Well, maybe two well trained dogs.

I'd love to see the look on an intruder's face when a homeowner comes after them with a lit blowtorch. I think if I resorted to a blowtorch, I'd throw on some rubber gloves and grab a random object like a jar of peanut butter just for effect.
