New AR
I just received a Colt AR-15 and have a question. What is the best way to remove the factory oil/grease (Cosmoline maybe?) off the exterior of the AR?
Is CLP ok, a degreaser, etc?

I myself have used very hot water then after it was removed i would CLP it.

Birchwood Casey Gunscrubber would work well, then CLP. But just for that one time. Save the Birchwood for the interior of the rifle.
