I'm glad to see this out of Evans' hands, but I agree that there's still plenty of time for the reps to play games with this bill. The one good thing that has come out of the bill being voted on in Appropriations is that whatever Democrats voted for it in committee can now be pressured to not argue against this bill in open debate on the floor, or vote against it.

Do we have a record of the vote yet? (EDIT: Never mind just saw post above, thanks tsor39) Once we do, we need to make sure to thank those who voted for it, and continue to ask (or pressure, as the case may be) for their support on the floor.

Looking forward to direction from WhiteFeather and Activist, but will take a guess that next steps are to contact the speaker to make sure this bill WILL be given consideration on the floor next week, and start contacting ALL the House reps asking for support, or convincing those against to support it.

    Baby steps...

(And, I'm still wondering what Evans is getting out of all this, because from our reports he seemed all too agreeable last night, unless he just knew he was beat)

Just saw this, and tsor posted results above. 26-8 is a great vote, and I think an indication of our support for this bill. A lot of the Democrats on the Appropriations Committee voted for it. In addition, with all of the co-sponsors we have on this bill, once this gets to the floor, we can at least hold those co-sponsors to the flame on their support for it.
