Gun shop/Range Rental handguns
I apologize if this question has been asked and answered.
My wife and I are currently in the process of doing some research towards purchasing our first handgun. To that end, we are looking for one or two gun shop/ranges that will rent out handguns for us to try out.
We are thinking about either a Baby Eagle 9mm or a Glock in 9mm.
Does anyone have any suggestions? We are currently in the North Side of Pittsburgh.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can try Anthony's in West Mifflin about 15-20 mins away or A&S Indoor Range in Youngwood about 30-40 mins away depending on traffic.
Anthony's has a nice selection of rentals but I think is on the expensive side and while the guys who work there are knowledgeable some can be a little pissy.
A&S is a smaller range but I like them for that. They dont have a huge selection but it has all of the basics, like the glock, xd and m&p 9mms. They will help you out with any questions. Thats where I went for my first time and it was a great experience.
As for the Baby Desert Eagle I was trying to find one because I liked what I read about it and how it looked. But you probably wont find it in a range around here. You can find glocks, like the 19, pretty much anywhere. And I would suggest trying out the M&P 9mm. Im a little biased, but I tried the 19, XD 9mm, M&P 9mm and some FN 9mm and I liked the M&P above all of them; with the Glock 19 in a very close second.
tell us how everything goes.

Please forgive the new guy, but M&P is what manufacturer, exactly?
I already knew about Anthony's, I was just curious as to whether or not any other ranges rented out guns.
Thanks,
Bryan

Re: Gun shop/Range Rental handguns
Thanks for the input. An LEO friend of ours who walks the beat in Market Square recommended the Glock 17, his duty weapon. He say's it's a beauty, he's had his for some time, and has had no issues.
At this point, we're looking for something in the 9mm family, so we can both use it. When we get some extra cash, I plan on getting something in the 1911 frame of mind, just for me .
Bryan.
