Default USPSA at Pitcairn Monroeville April 5

Winter is over and we are ready to start the practical shooting season with our first USPSA match of the year. Sunday, April 5, from 9AM-2PM at Pitcairn Monroeville Sportsman's Club (www.pmsconline.com). This five-stage match will include one long stage, two medium stages, one short stage, and a classifier. This will be a fun match to shoot.

Our late-season construction of two additional (total of four) pavilions means that, even if it rains, the shooters will stay dry. Come on out, rain or shine. This construction also includes the moving of our shoot-house. Construction will be complete within the next few months and the new house will be even better than the old one.

Prefer to shoot on Saturday, April 4th? No problem. Your squad must include at least one NROI certified range officer to shoot on Saturday. Please be at the range at 1:00 sharp in order to shoot on Saturday.

Would you like to volunteer to RO the match? RO's will work either the morning shift (9AM -11:30AM) or the afternoon shift (11:30AM - 2:00PM). Staff shoot for free. You can RO in the morning and shoot in the afternoon, or vice versa. Email Range Master Steve Davidson (sdavidson98@comcast.net) to volunteer.

Questions on the match? Email Match Director Kevin Johnson at reciprocity.alpha@gmail.com. You can also keep up to date by checking our website: www.eastendspeed.com

Do you need to be a member of USPSA to shoot these matches?

    Thanks

Nope. Just show up, you'll get squaded with some other shooters and shoot away. That's what I do.

I have always wanted to learn how to do this. Fact is, I just never learned to move and shoot very well. Put me stationary and I do decent. If I gotta run-n-gun. I 'll be thrilled to hit paper. Perhaps some day I will get a good gun-fu teacher.

I keep putting off joining PMSC but this might be the thing to lite a fire under my ass.

ETA what kind of categories are there? I'd be shooting an almost stock M&P. The only modifications are fiber optic front sight and a trigger job.

Depending on caliber either production (9 mm) or possibly L10 (.40)

Don't let having a stock gun keep you from shooting. I compete in USPSA (shooting tomorrow at Holidaysburg) and I use my stock XD. I have a couple buddies that use Stock M&P's. We all have a blast. Just go and shoot. It is so much more fun than just shooting paper targets at the range. Give it a try. Your going to love it. I do.

You will be hooked in no time. And should see a improvement in your shooting.

That's a dammed nice offer. I think I might take you up on it. Is there any cost to shoot other than bringing my pistol and ammo and how much would I need magazine wise? I have 1 for my witness but 2 for the 1911.

OK, it starts at 0900. Where do we go to sign up? The main club house that you pass as you go in?

    $15 dollars to shoot, Right?

I'm thinking about coming out in the morning. Depends if I can get my ugly *ss up or not in time to drive out that way.
