Default Who reloads their own pistol ammo?

OK...looking at trying to reload my own 9mm ammo. Doing this because I believe I may save some $$ in the long run because I am starting to get into USPSA shooting, etc.
Anyone here have some helpful tips on where to pick up a reloading kit?
Anyone wish to share their reloading stories good/bad?
    How difficult is it?

    Thank you in advance.

Buy a reloading manual for more questions on specifics - but pretty damn easy.

I actually learned on my own via the internet and good books. It really isn't rocket science but you need to pay attention! I was scared as he.. on my first shots with the reloads, but all went well.
I always thought 9mm wasn't very cost effective to reload... maybe things have changed. I don't own a 9.
I don't have a catchy phrase to put here!

    Plan on laying some $$$$
Single stage to work up loads, then a progresive to actually be productive.

Single stage will work for awhile, gets to be too much work if you intend to load alot.

    amen..lol...

I might even look into a turret press because I can't afford a progressive right now.

For 9mm and USPSA don't even bother if you aren't going progressive.

The money savings are smaller for 9mm and at the levels where it is worth it.......your eyes would go blind on a single stage press.

That's the sticky in the Ammo/Reloading forum. It may answer some basic questions for you.

i just started into reloading as well, my goal was for rifle so i started with a single stage press. And as confused as i was, i did happen to fall into my own routine in a short period of time, and got some amazing results ( for me). Anyhow one thing i will say, what ever you read or hear try to get it verified by another source as well.

Reloading is not too difficult as long as you pay attention to details and not have any distractions while you are reloading (watching tv, talking on the phone etc.).
I started off with a RCBS Rock Chucker and it worked well for me for several years. As soon as I started shooting Bullseye matches, I went to a Dillon progressive loader for the .45acp. If you are shooting pistol calibers, a Square Deal reloader would be just fine. I have a 550b which I use for pistol and rifle. Dillon presses are guaranteed for life and their service and support is excellent.

I have a dillon 650 progressive. Reload pistol and rifle (223, 30 carbine) but mostly pistol. Its the way to go as I have Class III and can burn through ammo pretty easily. Pistol reload is not too bad but as previous post says, you need to pay attention.
