Default Taurus - New for 2009 - Catalog

Has anyone seen the new line of Taurus Firearms for 2009?

Some exciting stuff here! I like the 9mm "Slim" pistols, the 9mm 1911 pistols, the hi-cap 1911's, the new .380 pistol, the snub-nose judge and the... well you get the idea!

Heres the link to their "New for 2009" catalog

They were all at the shot show and the new slim 9's and the 380 look and feel nice. I think the Ruger LCP will have some serious competition with the new Taurus 380. I personally didn't care for the hi cap 1911's, felt like a 2X4 in my hand.

Me too... I am an admitted Taurus basher, but I would still like to try out the 5" model 1911 in 9mm as a range toy...

    Interesting....

In the same boat. I love how the 1911 feels but the ammo cost. If it is in the ball park of the 45 im in for one. Even though my last taurus broke.

Even though I've never shot a Taurus, I've generally had a bad impression of them based on things I've read from other people.

However I really have to say, in the past few years they really seem to have been upping their game. They seem to be coming out with more innovative designs than a lot of the more respected firearms manufacturers.

I like the 1911 hi-cap. I like 1911's as of handling prevous ones at shows an shops,The Hi-cap does seem a little bulky . I cant say I would buy one over a springfield that is in the same price range, or a kimber at much higher price tag. But, I would like to one at the range an give it a try, Before I bash on it.

The slim .380's look nice, might look into getting one of those for a summer carry when they come out.

I got a Taurus revolver 13 - 14 years ago. Sounded like a baby rattle, sent it back and they fixed it but I sold it immediately and bought a S&W. Haven’t bought a Taurus since. The look like they've come a long way in the last ten years or so, but I just can't ever bring myself to buy another. I learned the hard way that it's worth the extra money to buy the highest quality firearm (or anything for that matter) that you can and it will save you a lot of headaches.

Agreed, but I really want one anyways.

I've never been a big fan of 9mm in a 1911 of normal size. I own a few, actually there probably isn't a caliber of 1911 I don't have, but if I'm going to carry a 1911 I prefer .45. Now the little 1911ish STI 9mm's I like, just wish I could have gotten mine with Tritium sites, for some reason they don't make them that way or didn't when I bought mine.
