ALLEGHENY VALLEY RIFLE LEAGUE ??

Odd question, but my aunt left me some jewelry and in there was a great ID type bracelet looking thing or maybe its a tie tack or goes around a tie?? that is engraved with ALLEGHENY VALLEY RIFLE LEAGUE 1957 that must have been her late husbands... ((assuming it wasnt hers lol))

ANyway, anyone know the history of this league and where i should go to research it, get rid of it, etc

The Allegheny Rifle League is a smallbore indoor league that shoots every Friday evening from about October to March, and has been around since at least the 1940s. Most teams are along Route 28 in the A-K Valley and have included such clubs as Murrysville, Crowfoot, Kittanning, Kiski, Tarentum, Ford City and Fort Hand in Vandergrift. I would suggest that you contact someone from the Murrysville rifle club; they also shoot in the PSRL (The Pittsburgh & Suburban Rifle League, which shoots on Wedesdays.)
