Default 'Giant' Shipment of Weapons Seized at Airport

Man if this is a giant shipment some of the people here must have an enormous lot.

BUT besides that ... someone was trying to sneak in guns with no serial numbers .... bad bad

Sounds like maybe cops actually did keep guns out of the hands of bad guys, for a change. Does seem like somebody was being a tad naughty.

Though I'm not sure that amount qualifies for the superlatives "giant" or "massive," though. Still, a good catch by Customs.

At least to me 237 firearms is fairly giant. I mean it's not as though they found 15 firearms and called that giant.

It would be funny to find out that these are airsoft though.

Meh, coming in from Turkey I highly doubt they are airsoft ... they look like Charles Daily shotguns and if I am correct they are made in Turkey (correct me if I am wrong)

Customs agents released this photo of the 12-gauge shotguns (pistol and traditional grip style) seized yesterday at the Cincinnati Airport. (WKRC-TV) Customs and Border Protection now say a paperwork error may be partly to blame for guns it confiscated at the international airport.

The weapons were seized on Monday. Officers say the shipment was listed as "toys" from Turkey.

It contained sixty 12-gauge shotguns and 177 pistols. (Note: I think Pector has it right here although not detailed I believe this sentence means there is a combined total of 60 shotguns and .177 caliber pistols)

Federal agents say they tested a shotgun and it fired live ammo.

The pistols are designed for theatrical use.

No charges have been filed, because the investigation is on-going.
