    Default integral suppressor

I thinking about getting a .22 with an integral suppressor and have a question. How are you suppose to clean them? I know that with .22s there is a lot of lead build up, and with the cans you have to clean them. But seeing how the integral are built into the barrel, I don't see how you clean them.

I had a similar question with an MP5 SD that I am having built.
The barrel and suppressor are one, and from what I was told by the builder, was that he puts a coating of some sort inside the suppressor and on the baffles, that eliminates build up...
He told me whatever I do, do not dip it or clean it with any liquid cleaner/solvent, because it could leave a residue inside that will cause build up, and because you cannot take it apart, you will not be able to clean it...

His advice was to shoot it, and that will supposedly blow everything out of it..
Don't know how any of the other integral suppressors are, but that is skinny on mine..

yeah but your probably not planning on shooting lead bullets through that thing right? From my little bit of understanding, the jacketed stuff really doesn't cause build up. It's the unjacketed lead bullets that you have to worry about.

I can't wait to see those pictures. BTW ... did you get your stamp back for your UMP conversion?

I think that there is some integrals that can be broken down for cleaning. I think one manufacturer that had them was johnsguns.us .

No, I will not be shooting unjacketed bullets through it..

No stamp yet, it is still pending as of 3/11.... I am so impatient.

Is this going to be a custom Form-4 suppressor or a From-1 suppressor?

Since this will be for .22LR (So I surmise), I suggest that the outer sleeve thread to the back of the barrel some place and the front end cap be threaded on so that the "integral" suppressor can be disassembled to get the lead out.

When you think about it, an integral suppressor is like a reflex can on steroids. The one key difference is that the barrel is a component of the suppressor.

Well, when I was at the Harrisburg Gun Show last week, I saw a new model Ruger 10/22 with fully suppressed barrel.. The suppressor was not a seperate item that attached to the barrel, instead, the suppressor was the actual barrel, and it did not come apart..
It was really sweet with a tan hogue stock, and the barrel was a brownish bronze color.. $1200

The one that I'm thinking about is a savage .22lr bolt.

I'm with Ronnie, in that the only ones I've ever seen the suppressor and barrel where the same. Now that doesn't mean that it couldn't come apart I guess. Just doesn't look like it would.

I got one of the Tactical Solutions integral suppressed AR22 uppers.
And it comes apart for cleaning, and it's mono-core.

My friend's Ruger (he may chime in, he is a member here), comes apart. It looks like a bull barrel, but there is a little screw, recessed, that comes out and disassembles. Pretty cool.

Be safe (and vewy, vewy quiet).
