Default Help me tweak my CZ

Well, I'm looking to tweak my CZ-85B to make her a sweet shooter. I'm going to have Rich do the work, but I wanted to get some suggestions/advice on parts I'm looking to buy and if I should change/add anything to the list.

    site I'm ordering from:
    http://czcustom.com/index.aspx

    competition hammer:

    main spring:

    recoil spring:
    http://czcustom.com/CZ-Recoil-Spring-11Lb.aspx

    competition rear sight:

front sight (Rich is adding a gold bead to the front sight):

I did, but I frequent here way more often. Sometimes I forget I made a post on a forum if I don't visit it often.

    Yeah man...style it out!!!
Let me know how you like that free dropping mag spring when you get it in. For now, that and some grips are the only thing I'm changing on mine. You get a holster for it yet?
    cheers mate

Ps. That was a nice target you posted a while back with your handloads!!!

I put that same hammer and reduced mainspring in my CZ 40b. It was schweeeet!

sounds like yo have a good plan.

is this going to be a competition gun?

did you think about a magwell and grips yet?

ETA: mine was a 40SW, I found that the 13lb spring you have listed would light strike maybe every 1 in 50-100 rounds. I ended up with a 15lb. It was the lightest I could go without having any light strikes.

no, no holster yet. I'm looking at the bianchi carry lok for it..some people recommended it to me. Thanks..I found a good unique load that functions in all my 9s.

Yeah, I just want a sweet shooting gun..not that it isn't now, but for like $200 I can really make it that much better...

I'd like to eventually shoot at least IDPA.

I love the wood grips on the CZ, but haven't looked into getting them yet and I also haven't looked into the magwell. I never really knew the purpose of the magwell...what's the true use of those? Personally, I think they look like ass on pistols, but that's just my opinion.

I'll give the guys a call over at the cz custom shop to see what they recommend for the main spring...I appreciate the heads up.

    makes fast reloads easier.

not all magwells are huge funnels for competition. Not sure if they make any smaller type ones for the CZ though.

    does my magwell look ass?

    lol

you will love that trigger with the new hammer and spring though.
It made the DA so smooth and light I thought about if I had kept it trying to make it a DAO.

no, yours look good, actually...if you didn't tell me there was a magwell on the gun, I wouldn't of known.

Yeah...I been told it's the nicest mod to do to the gun to make it that much better...I think I read the stock trigger pulls on the SA/DA are like 8lbs and 12lbs and after the competition hammer and new main spring, it can drop to 4-5lbs/8lbs..I'm all for it.
