What is the standard issue sidearm for law enforcement units in the region?

Every individual department has it's own standard. There might be duplication between departments but that is accidental rather than being driven by any sort of inter-departmental standarization requirement.

City of Reading uses S&W .40's. Reading uses only S&W, even for personally owned backup guns. The little department by me uses Beretta, the one down the road uses Glock, and another nearby one uses Sig.

Yes, the Glock 37 is the .45 G.A.P.

I also believe PSP issues the compact Glock 38, also in .45 G.A.P., for plainclothes/undercover duty.

York City issues Glock 22. (.40S&W) and so do several departments in York County including YCSO.

It is my impression that the Glock 22 .40 caliber pistol is the most common sidearm for LEO.

    Lancaster City carry Glock 22
Manhiem TWP carry Sig P226 most likely in .40
