Mellon Arena

Anybody know what kind of search there is upon entrance to Mellon Arena? During Pens games and such. Is it visual or is it a physical frisking like at Heinz field? Or even wanding?

In my experience you never know whats gonna happen at mellon arena, I've been waived right threw, I've been patted down, and I've seen people wanded.

ETA: I will say their patdowns are nowhere near heinz fields Ijustlostmyasscherrysoeveryonecanfeelsafer checks

I just went to the game on March 10 and it is a lax pat down but you can tell they are checking for weapons in the belt region

I know if you wear a hockey jersey they make you pull it up and they check around your waist. I don't remember seeing if they do that for everyone or not though.

i have never been wanded at penquins games nor seen them using wands (i'm not saying they don't--just sharing my experience). if i do get wanded there it might end up making for an interesting post...

in my experience, they have always done a very cursory pat down. sometimes just checking the hips...other times also hitting SOB.

but, ankle carry, smart carry, or just throwing the gun in a cargo pocket (with something to break up the outline)...

let's just say that anyone can easily get a gun into pens games...including criminals. and, if the criminals can have guns, well, then...
