Movies that made you ask the question...why?
Their are some good and fair actors out there that have been making awesome movies for years that out of no where made that one or 2 movies that made you say........WTF was that!
(1) I actually felt bad for the Terminator when he made Junior, I mean come on WTF was that?
(2) Rocky was on a roll for years and then came Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot, yes it sucked way worse then Rhinestone Cowboy(LOL)

Re: Movies that made you ask the question...why?
Although his site has changed Michael Madsen had some of the best reviews of movies he was in...
First the good:
Reservoir Dogs
Reservoir Dogs. Timeless Classic. A cult legend. Done on a small budget for Director Quentin Tarantino. One of the best screenplays I ever read. ...

The Stray
The Stray. Probably one of the most horrendous mistakes of my career; made for all the wrong reasons, too many to list; good performance by Angie Everhart; ...
http://www.michaelmadsen.com/reviews...The_Stray.htmlGhost
Ghost. Low-Budget movie, made during a time I was trying to pay my mortgage; also released as Code of the Dragon.

Last Days of Frankie the Fly
Last Days of Frankie the Fly. A great dark screenplay written by Dayton Callie and starring Dennis Hopper was destroyed and homogenized in the editing ...
http://www.michaelmadsen.com/reviews...e_the_Fly.htmlOf every one hundred men in battle, ten should not even be there. Eighty, are nothing but targets. Nine are the real fighters, we are lucky to have them since they make the battle. Ah, but the one—one is the Warrior—and he brings the others home. —Heracletus

Dark, 'blockbuster' movies based on a comic book or other ridiculous premise that feature a mismatched, all-star cast, such as, Clooney, Brad Pitt, Sharon Stone, Sigorney, Anthony Hopkins, Merryl Streep, Vin Diesel, etc... ALL SUCK.

Re: Movies that made you ask the question...why?
After I watched the first "Fast and the Furious" movie, I asked "Why did my friend say that this movie was so amazing?" but I consoled myself by saying "Hey, at least they can't make a sequel out of that shitty movie"...
Then came the 2nd one... I admit that I eventually ended up watching it when it was playing on USA or one of those channels. The script was so bad that Vin Deisel even said "F*ck that" (keeping in mind this is the same guy who made "XXX", but thats another rant). But again, I tell myself "They wouldn't dare make another one. They have to see that these movies are terrible"
Then the 3rd one. So bad, that they could not even get anybody from the original cast. From what I understand, it involves drift racing and the Yakuza. Cause we all know how these crime syndicates settle disputes by racing, not by killing men, women, and children in an all-out bloodbath. But hey, they couldn't possibly continue on like this...
Now there is a 4th one coming out. I am convinced that the stock market collapse is punishment from God for making FOUR of these friggin movies... If they make a 5th, then the only quote that fits is from Bender Bending Rodriguez from Futurama. "We're boned"
