    Default PAFOA PAC

With some of the most important elections coming up in just 20 months, is now the time to form a PAFOA PAC? There is no doubt that the liberals will be coming out of the woodwork, hoping to ride on obamamania, and get get a seat or two in washington. Being off year elections, we know that only 10%-20% of those who voted in November will show up for the congressional elections. Now could be our time to seize seats in the senate and house, when the uniniformed stay home and don't vote. Candidates need money to run campaigns. There are a ton of PACs out there that give antigun money. Does it make sense to form a PAFOA PAC and financially support pro gun candidates?

If you can find a PROgun candidate I'll support him. Not a not-antigun candidate.

I have suggested this very thing over at NJCSD , I have the contacts and information to get this started if the interest is there , frankly I think its a damn good and long overdue idea

PAC's are not that hard to set up, it's a rather simple from that gets mail to harrisburg. The reporting requirements are a bit more tricky. It's sad how few people vote. It's sad that campaign money comes from big interests with big budgets. We are losing America to big interests and sheeple that do what CNN and MSNBC stay is right. We will think nothing of giving $20 to someone for an hour or two at an indoor range, yet we don't give anything to the people that can protect or rights or strip them away. 2010 is going to be a pivitol year. These is hope that people like harry reid could actually be gone, just like tom daschle was taken out. We all need to see people in office who will protect the consitution and try to rewrite it.

Agreed. No need to reinvent the wheel here. FOAC is already up and running, with many experienced members. They routinely work with PAFOA, ACSL, PAOC and many other groups, and many of us here are members of more than one of these organizations.

what PAFOA as a forum thrives on is the ability to bring a great many of us together. It is a great tool for communication and orginization.

so, why dont we try to run some fundraisers for FOAC ?

PAFOA dinners seem to be a great hit.

Hold one and add a $5/head donation to FOAC for everyone that attends.
Or use the classifieds section to raffle off items to raise funds and donate.
Or set up a shooting competition where a portion of the proceeds go to FOAC.

    any other ideas?

Let me clarify this. I have never seen anyone running for any office publicly state that they would act to repeal existing restrictions on firearm owners.(Ron Paul in a roundabout way) That is what I would consider a PROgun candidate.

I think this is a grea idea. Time some of us put our money where our mouths are. I'ld pay an extra $5 to attend a group shoot, or a group dinner. I'ld be curious how many others on here would. We sure have some people that talk the talk. But are you willing to go out and truely support what your preaching? It is the cost of two "good" beers. You willing to give that up to support those that actually are fighting the fight for your gun rights. Or is this to much for you all to spend?
