AK47s AND California

I think AK47s are banned in California, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know for sure?

If they are banned in California, is there anything similar that is legal in California?

God, every time I see one of these "California" threads, I realize just how much it must suck to live there. California is leading the way in government fascism.
