    Default AR roll pin question

Wondering why roll pins are used on the bolt catch release and trigger guard vs. solid pins?

I'm sure there is a good reason, wouldn't think there is a cost or weight issue.

Roll pins are springy, solid pins are solid and force the holes to open up to the pin OD. The springy roll pins squeeze down and stay tight.
