Apply for non-resident NJ Carry?
Has anyone applied for NJ carry for non-resident? I'm not there often, but when I am it's usually camden or somewhere else like that where you'd really want to carry... I live in PA.

Good responses so far Kind of what I was thinking - hadn't looked into it yet and wanted a first impression. :/

Re: Apply for non-resident NJ Carry?
You have to blackjack the Staties to process even if you live in NJ in an area that doesn't have a local PD, good luck getting them to handle one from out of state. Had to get my permit through them, no locals where I lived.
I have never been treated in the way I was by the Sgt. that processed my last permit.
I treat shit on my boot better.
He did get better when he read my references and found that the retired SP Capt. that promoted him to Sgt. was one of them.

Re: Apply for non-resident NJ Carry?
You can apply.
You will be denied.
Then, everywhere else that you apply that asks if you've ever been denied - you'll have to say you were denied. That make things more complicated.
I have a friend in NJ, was a part time LEO for a few years when he was young but doesn't meet the requirements for LEOSA.
He has CC for FL, UT, (which gets him PA since technically PA won't license him), CT, RI, ME, MA, NH, and - - - - even got an non-resident for NY, and is in process for NYC. NJ still denied him. He can carry in every state on the NE seaboard - except his own!
Anyway - NJ not happening.Complete equality isn't compatible with democracy, but it is agreeable to totalitarianism. After all the only way to ensure the equality of the slothful, the inept and the immoral is to suppress everyone else. - Iain Benson
